Welcome to Awkward Giraffe
Awkward Giraffe Incorporated is a not for profit founded in 2019 in the aftermath of the death of Melbourne comedian Eurydice Dixon. The original founders were some of her friends and family, wanting to support the type of thoughtful comedy for which she was known.
The official “aims of Awkward Giraffe” are set out on the page nested under “Welcome to Awkward Giraffe” in the menu above.
Our webpage crashed a while back and we are just getting this one started again, so everything is still under construction. A lot of content from that old site has not yet been put on this new one, and we are planning for much, much, new content.

and we also have a Facebook Page. Or you could join up to the blog on this site , you do that by clicking the “Login/Register” link at the top of the page. You may just see three little dots, or the 3 line menu “hamburger” in which case you first click on that to bring up the menu. But anyone can comment in the “Leave a Reply” boxes found on most pages including this one

You can join us by Registering with this site and we hope posting on the blog. Spam can be a problem so you may not be able to post until we have identified you as a person. (You can do that by making a post, which may be held that first time for approval. Or you could for example identify yourself in Comments) It depends how big a problem spam is at a given time. Any difficulties with logging on, please use the Comments box below on this page. We have solved a few problems already and are eagerly looking forward to many more. (Or not)
In general Awkward Giraffe is a free speech site, free expression being part of Awkward Giraffe’s reason for being. Having said that we necessarily reserve the right to remove anything too legally compromising or offensive for us to handle.
Awkward Giraffe also has and will in the future sponsor various events. A what’s on list will no doubt usually be the main feature of this welcome page. At the moment we are still finding our feet again,

In honour of that last comment by our founding President Kieran Butler, I think we should have a page devoted to visual art, not cartoons but comic visual art, and call it the Escher Page. On the to do list.
At the moment still getting up our basic content and fixing bugs.
Yeah there is a bug with the login. Working on it. Not sure of the cause ATM but hope to emerge from this a wiser and better man. Anyone with suggestions please get on touch. Various ways to do that but my personal email [email protected] probably the easiest.
